Introduction

The Space shuttle was a massive achievement as it was the first-ever reusable space vehicle. But ladies and gentlemen, continuing my series on Russia, I would like to present to you the Soviet space shuttle, The Buran Energia! This was another mission of the Soviet Union. It was almost like the space shuttle but with some better qualities. It had quite a political background but did not have any fortune with its progress. Today we will explore it and everything it had to offer.

Finally, the Buran Energia was also much cheaper to operate than the American space shuttle. This is because it used less fuel and required less maintenance. As a result, the Soviets were able to launch more missions for less money, making their space program more efficient

and cost-effective overall. Last but not least it could use autopilot 20 years earlier than the space shuttle.
